We love hosting you here at Callaway Resort & Gardens, but we love what our neighbors offer, too! It just wouldn’t be fair if we kept all the area fun to ourselves. We want you to get a taste of the full authentic Southern Georgia experience during your visit and even consider staying longer in our amazing area, so we’ve recruited some of our neighbors to help cover all the bases.
Here in our hometown, Pine Mountain, you’ll find the best boutiques, most unique antique shops, authentic Georgia BBQ and the absolute friendliest people in our great state. Be sure to check out our friends at nearby Wild Animal Safari for a ride-through adventure featuring over 500 animals on 500 acres!
Just 30 minutes South in Columbus, Georgia, get your adrenaline pumping with some of the best whitewater rafting South of the Tennessee line. From there, stroll around downtown on the River Walk and pop into the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts for an off-Broadway show. Traveling with children? Explore space at the Coca-Cola Space Science Center or try the Springer Opera House for kid-friendly theatrical performances. And all guests should make time to visit the world-renown National Infantry Museum at Ft. Benning for a rare glimpse into our nation’s storied military history.
North of Callaway Resort & Gardens in LaGrange, a wealth of interesting attractions can keep the entire family engaged. From Wild Leap Brewery Tours and cycling along The Thread, to cultural enrichment at Biblical History Center and Hills & Dales Estate, the historic Callaway family home, the 20 minute drive is full of adventure.
History buff? You’re in luck! We’re located in the middle of Georgia’s famous “Presidential Pathways” with Franklin Roosevelt’s Little White House and Jimmy Carter’s hometown of Plains, GA within easy driving distance.
